Thank you so much for volunteering to help us for the 2020 Jewish Food Festival.
Volunteer To Cook We have sessions in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and on Sundays to hopefully accommodate any schedule. It's a great way to learn some simple kitchen techniques, while having fun and making new friends. If you are 13 or older and able to stand on your feet (very limited seating may be available) for a 3-4 hour cooking session, we'd love to have your help.
You do not have to know how to cook to be of help, if you can weigh, measure, chop, slice, dice or stir. Not all the sessions will result in a finished dish, but we urge you to be generous with your time for some of the prep sessions as well, since they are necessary to help streamline many dish preparations.
All volunteers will be contacted by the leader of their session by email or phone a few days prior to date of the cooking session as a reminder and to give you final instructions. If you find that you can not make a session that you signed up for, please let us know ASAP, so that we can try to find a substitute and not be short-handed.
If you have any questions about signing up, please contact Nancy Dunn at nldunn@gmail.com.
Volunteer To Help The Day Of The Festival The day is divided into two shifts for each required position. All help is appreciated. There are volunteer positions where you can be outdoors, indoors, sitting, or standing. Any questions about job descriptions or duties, contact Lou Harris at info@sdjewishfoodfest.com
